The rectangular, one-piece, oblong top has a thumb-molded edge and is secured to the frame below by four wood pins, two each in the long rails. The inside face of each rail is rabbeted at the twice-wood-pinned mortise and tenon joint with its respective turned leg. The rectangular stretchers are set flush with and tenoned and wood-pinned to the blocking above the turned feet. Examined by P. E. Kane, August 8, 2013; notes compiled by T. B. Lloyd.
