Construction

The top is comprised of two boards. Each cleat is stepped and is attached to the top with six screws. The pintel on the block is replaced. The joint of the pedestal and the block is repaired and the legs are out of alignment as either a corner or wall table. The legs are curved to conform to the pedestal where they join. The iron brace supporting the joint of the pedestal and the legs is one piece; it is affixed to each leg with three rosehead nails. Examined by P. E. Kane and E. M. Orr, January 20, 2011
