The single-board top has an applied cove-molded edge with incurvate corners, and is secured to the frame below by multiple screw pockets (some later) by later rectangular horizontal glue blocks, and by a later medial transverse brace, reinforced by a single, later, rectangular horizontal glue block. The rails of the frame are connected to the rectangular tops of the legs with mortise and tenon joints, each joint having a wood pin. The convex, quarter round skirt is attached to the rails above with brads. The knee brackets, attached to the rails and legs with glue, are modern replacements. Within the frame are two vertical rectangular glue blocks at the top of each leg. The cabriole legs have rounded knees with small, stylized shells carved at the juncture of frame and skirt, and vigorously carved tendons and claws with undercut talons grasping elongated ball feet.
