Construction

The spindles of the back are doweled into the underside of the double-beaded continuous arm/crest; a number of the spindles are wood-pinned through the front face of the crest. Some of the spindles are also wood-pinned to the seat, the pins being visible at the back. Examined by P.E. Kane, J.S. Gordon, and J.N. Johnson; January 16, 2018; notes compiled by T.B. Lloyd.
