ConstructionFour horizontal backboards with half lap joints and chamfered edges fit in grooves in the case sides and top and are nailed to the back edge of the bottom board with sprigs. The drawer bottoms are comprised of three boards that are chamfered to fit into grooves in the drawer sides and front and that are nailed to the underside of the drawer back with cut nails. The base molding is run in the same boards that form the front feet. The bottom board is two piece. Examined by P. E. Kane, August 1, 2007. |
