Construction

Each has a beaded arched crest rail through which pass the tops of nine turned spindles, each revealed through the crest rail and secured with a brad, seven set in the raised portion of the shaped seat, behind a deeply incised line, two in the chamfered block behind. The spool and vase-turned legs are joined by turned stretchers and revealed through the top of the seat. Examined by P.E. Kane, August 6, 2010; notes compiled by T.B. Lloyd.
